The famous Berlin Art Market on the Museum Island in Berlin Mitte is an open air event since 25 years. Artist presenting and selling their handmade paintings, crafts and designs. The Art Market is a place of interest for every visitor in Berlin.

The center of Berlin, near boulevard "Unter den Linden" between the German Historical Museum and Berlin Cathedral this market offers art works by local and international designers made in Berlin. In contrast to other from flea markets only professionals sell their products. The items available are well selected and not second-hand .Art and design are for fixed prices

The market focuses on fine arts, like paintings, graphics, sculptures, photography, design fashion and digital art. Prices are fixed, bargaining is not possible. The market as people to contact artists directly, to get an impression of their work and working processes.

Berlin Holocaust Memorial

Berlin Holocaust Memorial
We didnt have too much time in Berlin for site seeing. This was the first historical place we went to, The Memorial To The Murdered Jews Of Europe is a Holocaust monument located in the center of Berlin, very close to the Brandenburg Gate.
The memorial has to be experienced by walking through. You will find that the paths between the blocks (2711 of different sizes and shapes not two of  them alike) is uneven ,
The blocks are made of concrete and coated with anti-graffiti-paint. Some of them are very low, others are taller than a full-grown man.
Its memorial for 6 million people who died a horrible death.

Berlin Cathedral

#honeytraveldiary Berlin/Munich / Salzburg

Berlin Cathedral :

Berlin you should cycle around the city that is the best way to explore the city. Otherwise local transport is very good. Good shopping places we have Primark , C&A and other affordable brands so if u want to travel light u can easily pick up reasonable clothes from these places .

Eating options are plenty , Vegetarians may face a little bit of problem though Indian Resturants are available everywhere but they will be expensive so u could try their breads and cheese and amazing coffee.

The city has so much history that it would not be possible to cover the whole city in 2-3 days . Some places must see are :

The  blue dome cathedral . Its beautiful !!! Its located in Museum Island on the banks of Spree River. Fortunately we were here in summers ,we saw  Clear skies and a lot of tourists all over the city.

The museum in the cathedral showcases drawings, designs and models illustrating the history of the Cathedral Church. The walk-in models give an impressive sense of the church interior. And to get a marvelous impression of the exterior, you can climb 270 steps to the dome’s outer walkway – and be rewarded by some stunning Views.

Berlin ..Oh what a city !!

#honeytraveldiary Berlin/Munich / Salzburg
Last day in Berlin .
" Berlin combines the culture of New York ,traffic system of Tokyo ,the nature of Seattle and historical treasures of ,well ,Berlin ."
Which is perfect . It's a peaceful place not loud , no huge flashy lights , no huge hoardings ..has a lot of historical treasures like the Holocaust , the Berlin Wall , The Berlin cathedral with the blue dome .
Street cafe's all over . There are cycles and scooters on rent so the whole city is cycling. Local transport is good too. Trams are there in a few places .
Shopping options plenty .
Friends families cycling together it's lovely . In fact evenings that is what they do . Most tourists are on cycles too.
Awesome beer ,coffee , breads what else does one need .

Slow meaningful life .... Which we lack in Mumbai sadly ..

Will update what u should you see in berlin in following posts. Berlin has so much history it will take a few more posts . Leaving you with a few Pictures of this marvelous city.

#honeytraveldiary Berlin/Munich / Salzburg

A new country, new experiences . I been really lucky when it comes to travel . Traveled a lot stayed in different parts of the world . Learnt new languages , dialects . Survived in different circumstances.
Every trip had a new story ..
Telford I remember walking down the street lonely since I didn't know anyone in that small British town we had just moved to. It was a small quiet town I could hear my own footsteps when I walked there . On the opposite side of the road I see this Indian women and I was delighted waved at her gave her the biggest smile asked her heeeey what's Ur name she said Sunita Misra and you she asked I said Honey Misra   :)

She remains my strong support and my best friend .
